Tax Payment Facilitation Via The Agents For Branchless Banking Service For Financial Inclusion

The government and state-owned banks are developing tax payment via agents of branchless banking service for financial inclusion (Laku Pandai). The development of the tax payment facilitation via Laku Pandai agents will be conducted through a piloting activity that is held from October 2019 until March 2020. This piloting activity is conducted through cooperation between the Directorate General of Taxation, the Directorate General of Treasury, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Mandiri, and Bank Negara Indonesia.

In tax payment, Laku Pandai agents can serve tax payments for all types of tax as long as taxpayers already have a billing code. However, to provide service facilitation, Laku Pandai agents provide a billing code auto-create feature whereby taxpayers can make a deposit without having to make a billing code first. There are 7 types of tax that can be directly paid through this billing code auto-create feature, namely periodic article 21 income tax (PPh), periodic article 22 PPh, period article 23 PPh, individual article 25 PPh, corporate article 25 PPh, final PPh on certain gross turnover and period domestic value added tax.
