Signing Of Memorandum Of Understanding On Tax Data Integration

The Director General of Taxation, Suryo Utomo, and the President Director of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Ririek Adriansyah, have signed Memorandum of Understanding related to tax data integration, which constitutes continuation of tax data integration program that has been implemented through hos-to-host e-Faktur since 1 December 2018.

Suryo Utomo explained that the development of tax data integration is expected to be able to provide benefit and facility in more efficient and effective work process, for example profiling of taxpayers through more comprehensive big data as well as more up-to-date data analytics and business intelligence. Tax data integration includes exchange, processing, research, and testing of tax data through information technology-based facilities that may decrease administrative burden of taxpayers in fulfilling tax provisions.

Furthermore, transparency resulted from tax data integration may also decrease potential for future tax audit and dispute. Therefore, the Directorate General of Taxation expected many private companies and State-Owned Enterprise companies to carry out cooperation on tax data integration with the Directorate General of Taxation.
