According to the Director of Public Counseling, Services, and Relations, Hestu Yoga Saksama, automatic exchange of information between Indonesia and Switzerland will begin in September 2019 for financial information as of the end of 2018. Thereby, the Directorate General of Taxation (DGT) will be able to access the information on account balance and amount of financial assets of Indonesian citizens kept in Switzerland.

To date, DGT has send financial information to 54 partner countries. However, only 49 out of the 54 partner countries have sent financial information to DGT. DGT is still waiting for the provision of financial information from the other 5 partner countries. In addition, DGT has received financial information from 16 other partner countries.

The financial information which has been received constitutes financial information as of December 31, 2017. DGT itself is still processing the financial information and thereafter, will announce its summary to the public.
